Having no more Joomla sites is such a weight off of my shoulders.. Good riddance Joomla!!

Two years ago I designed www.leseyzies-tourist.info , at the time I decided to use Joomla, only because I had a really nice Theme that was ideal for what I needed. Being used to WordPress, I found that Joomla was not as easy to work with, and the biggest issue I had was the “Link Structure” that Joomla used. In the past 2 years my site was hacked and defaced twice, both times was due to a Joomla security issue, and updating Joomla was a nightmare.

However, the problem I had was that www.leseyzies-tourist.info was on the top of the first page on all mayor search engines, so I was a bit reluctant to change it too much. The big issue was when IE 8 was launched, it did not like Joomla code at all, and my pages were all screwed up if browsing with IE 8, FireFox was fine, and using IE 8 in “Compatibility View” worked fine, but who was gonna know that?
So, I decided to pull the plug on Joomla, and start from scratch using the beloved ( or at least in my case) WordPress.
Having no more Joomla sites is such a weight off of my shoulders.. Good riddance Joomla!!
